Link a theme to the roadmap and see what the next release answers

Themes can now be tied to items on your roadmap. Meridel shows the share of this month's feedback each item answers, and tells the people who asked when it ships.

Four horizontal bars of decreasing length, each beside a roadmap item.

Until now, Meridel stopped at the theme. You could see that sixty accounts asked for faster exports, but the link between that theme and the work your team planned lived in someone’s head. Today that changes.

What is new

On any theme page you can now link the theme to an item on your roadmap. An item can answer more than one theme, and a theme can be answered by more than one item.

Once linked, the roadmap view shows:

  • the share of this month’s feedback each planned item answers;
  • the accounts waiting on each item, largest first;
  • a status for each item: in progress, next or later.

Telling the people who asked

When you mark an item as shipped, Meridel drafts a short note to every account that asked for it, with their own words quoted back. You review the note, choose who gets it, and send it from your own help desk. Nothing goes out without you.

The best release note is one that tells a customer: you asked, here it is.

Getting started

Open a theme, choose Link to roadmap, and pick an item or create one. If you already keep your roadmap in a spreadsheet, you can import it as a CSV with one item per row.

Linking is part of every plan, including Starter. See pricing for the limits on each plan.
