Terms of service

Last updated 1 November 2026.

Sample text for the theme’s demo. This page is written for Meridel, an invented company, and is not legal advice. Replace it with the text for your own product, and have that reviewed by someone qualified for your country before you publish.

These terms apply to the Meridel service provided by Meridel B.V., Voorbeeldstraat 1, 1234 AB Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 00000000), “Meridel” or “we”. They form the agreement between us and the organisation that creates a workspace (“you”). By creating a workspace, or by signing an order form that refers to these terms, you agree to them on behalf of your organisation. Meridel is a service for businesses; it is not offered to consumers.

1. The service

Meridel reads customer feedback from the sources you connect, such as support tickets, call notes, survey answers and reviews, groups it into themes and shows the quotes behind each one. What each plan includes, such as the number of messages a month and the sources you can connect, is shown on our pricing page at the time you choose the plan. We improve and change the service over time, but we do not remove a core feature from a paid plan during a period you have paid for.

2. Your account and workspace

You are responsible for the people you invite to your workspace, for keeping sign-in details safe and for everything done under your accounts. Tell us at once at hello@meridel.example if you suspect someone has gained access without permission. You may not:

  • use the service to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights;
  • connect sources you are not allowed to process, or upload data you have no right to share with us;
  • try to get around usage limits, test the security of the service without our written permission, or disrupt it for others;
  • resell the service or offer it to third parties as your own, unless we agree to that in writing.

3. Plans, trial and payment

The Starter plan is free. The Team plan starts with a 14-day trial, after which it is billed in advance, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. Business plans are billed yearly under an order form. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes, which we add where the law requires. Invoices are due within 14 days.

Paid plans renew automatically for the same period. We can change our prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; a new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then. If a payment fails, we let you know and try again; if it is still unpaid 14 days after our reminder, we may limit your workspace to the Starter plan until it is paid.

4. Your data

You keep all rights to the feedback and other content you bring to Meridel. You give us permission to use it only to provide, secure and support the service for you. We do not use your content to train models for other customers, and we do not sell it.

Where your content contains personal data, we process it on your behalf under our data processing agreement, which is part of these terms. How we handle the personal data of the people who use Meridel is described in our privacy policy.

5. Availability and support

We aim to keep Meridel available around the clock and announce planned maintenance in advance, outside office hours in Central European Time where we can. We answer support questions within one working day. Business plans can agree a service level with service credits in their order form; other plans come without a guaranteed uptime.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We tell you about changes that matter by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before that date and we refund what you paid for the time after it.

7. Liability

We provide the service with care, but we cannot promise that it will be free of errors or that its analysis is complete. Our total liability under these terms in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and to EUR 500 for free plans. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost revenue or the loss of data you could have exported. These limits do not apply to loss caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow them.

8. Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time in the workspace settings. Monthly plans end at the end of the month; yearly plans run to the end of the year you paid for. We do not refund the rest of a period that has already started, except as set out in section 6. We may suspend or end your workspace if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, after warning you where that is reasonable.

When the agreement ends, you can export your themes and quotes for 30 days. After that, we delete the workspace and its content, and backups roll over within a further 30 days.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court. We would rather solve a problem with you directly, so please write to us first.
